Invoices, GST and billing details

Finding invoices

Every successful payment creates an invoice. It is emailed as a PDF to the organisation's Owner and Admins, and listed under Settings → Billing, where you can download it again.

When an invoice is a GST tax invoice

An invoice is a TAX INVOICE with GST at 18% when your billing country is India, or when you paid in INR (INR plans are only offered to users in India). Otherwise it is a plain INVOICE with no GST line.

How GST is shown

Plan prices are listed without GST. For customers in India, 18% GST is added, and that is what you are charged: a plan listed at ₹1,000 is charged ₹1,180 (the plan amount is rounded to whole rupees). The invoice shows the listed price, the GST and the total, and they add up to exactly what you were charged. If a charge is not the listed price plus 18% (for example a discount), the invoice splits the amount charged: base = charged ÷ 1.18, GST = the rest. For a GST invoice, the PDF says whether the tax is IGST or CGST + SGST, based on the first two digits of the seller's and your GSTIN (the state code).

SellerTacos details

Every invoice, GST or not, shows SellerTacos's company name, address and GSTIN.

Add your own details

Go to Settings → Billing → Billing details:

  • Company name and billing address appear on all invoices.
  • Billing country is detected when you subscribe (India is detected from your location or browser settings), not set on this form.
  • GSTIN (15 characters) is shown when India billing is on. It is verified, and the company name and address fill in for you. Verification only works against the live service, so if it fails you can still save the GSTIN.
  • Phone number is required to subscribe.

Details apply to future invoices. An invoice that was already issued does not change.

Only Owners and Admins can edit billing details.
